Regular giving

Magnificent Norman tower The Trust has a list of ambitious projects to undertake over the next 4 years. At the same time we have to be prepared to step in to fund projects which arise without warning.

In 2010 we funded the dry rot project discovered in the church. The final cost of this project was about £10,000. In 2014/5 we are promoting the ‘Raise the Roof’ campaign to obtain a total of £40,000 which is urgently needed for roof repairs. This is money the Parochial Church Council do not have. Projects involving the fabric of the church most often require an archaeological investigation because of the extraordinary site on which the Church sits – the Roman Praetorium.

The Trust depends on the generosity of people like you, who are interested in this ancient building, its site and the history which it has witnessed. We research and apply for grants, raise funds through events and are looking to extend the funds

We can receive through regular giving. As little as £10 per month provides a regular income stream for the Trust and means we have no need to fear Dry Rot or leaky roofs. Regular donations are handled discreetly by our Treasurer, William Baxter.
